A leading massive open online course (MOOC) provider created by Harvard and MIT, edX offers online Spanish courses that can be customized to your individual needs. Students who want to improve their employability can take courses that culminate in professional certificates, while those who are considering studying abroad in a Spanish-speaking country can opt for the Travel by Spanish America course.


Lengalia is an online school that offers 24 self-paced Spanish courses. With the help of a virtual instructor, learners take classes across all six CEFR levels (A1-C2). The full version of Lengalia includes a mix of learning resources, such as podcasts, instructional videos, and a verb conjugator. It also awards certificates for each completed course, which can be highly beneficial for both students and working professionals trying to enhance their resume.


Another popular MOOC provider, Coursera offers dozens of online Spanish courses from top universities around the world. Each class features different specializations, allowing you to zero in on your area of interest.


Alison is an online language-learning platform offering two Spanish certificate courses. Its Introduction to Spanish class develops learners' pronunciation and grammar skills, whereas its Restaurants and Dining Out course digs into common phrases and grammar used when placing an order at Spanish-speaking restaurants.


In the Spanish 101 online college course, you'll learn the basic fundamentals of the Spanish language. The course covers pronunciation and fundamental grammatical principles introduced through the development of skill and listening comprehension and speaking, followed by practice in reading and writing Spanish.


I recently graduated from college with a minor in Spanish. My experiences with online classes were mixed. In some cases, I loved the class and learned a lot. Other classes, I just felt like I was going through the motions. It really just boils down to the program and the teacher.


An online college class is flexible enough for people with busy lives to succeed in learning the objectives, but you will also have a teacher there to help you when you get stuck along the way.


You can take introductory-level courses in Spanish online. The college offers two different asynchronous classes that allow you to study at your own pace, though you will need to complete the course by the end of the semester to qualify for credits.


StudySpanish.com is a language-learning site that offers free courses in Spanish pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, verb tenses, travel help, word of the day, and more. Their free Spanish courses online have three levels. Their audio lessons include a transcript to help train your ear to the rhythm of Spanish.


For those looking to learn Spanish language skills, the best free courses are Hablar bien en publico, Correccion y estilo: Variaciones, and Curanderismo: Influencias globales. All of these courses can be taken online for free, allowing learners a flexible and comprehensive way to Level up their Spanish language skills.


The British company Memrise offers its own beginner, intermediate and advanced language courses online and through a mobile app. It also allows its network of users to create community courses. Memrise is free but offers a premium subscription package with access to bonus features at a cost.

Take Online Spanish for College Credit with Conversa. College students, high-school students, and professionals can earn college credit for your online Spanish course with Conversa. Courses are offered through live, one-on-one instruction. You can schedule anywhere between two and twenty hours per week, depending on your availability and how quickly you would like to complete the course. Classes are offered Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 10 pm, and Saturday from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm CST.


When taking our online Spanish program for college credit, we work with Ashland University, in Ohio. Students enroll through Conversa, and upon completion of your program, a grade report is sent to Ashland and the Ashland University registrar issues the official transcript direclty to your home institution for transferring.

There are lots of individual college courses for credit that you can take at SNHU.
