6th level. The Spider Rider is able to summon her spider to attack an enemy. She can use any of the spider's natural weapons, and can call the spider forward to help her escape the spider's enemies, or to assist her in combat. The Spider Rider can cast a 'Spider Stinger' at a target that can be either within 100 feet, or within 1,000,000 feet of the Spider Rider.
2nd level. The Spider Rider can ride with the party on a normal spider. She is proficient in the use of all items normally required for riding a spider, and can carry a light load. A Spider Rider who is mounted can move up to the speed of her mount and move freely, but she cannot maintain a running pace. 3rd level. The Spider Rider can now ride the party's special spider mount. She has a flying mount that she can attach to the spider's back. Additionally, she is able to ride on the other's mounts as a free action.
4th level. The Spider Rider can ride on any of the party's mounts that can hold two people. Additionally she can draw upon the magical power of her spider, to perform various feats of strength and speed.
SPIDER RIDERS ended in 1991, but it was a popular series. Fans continue to support the show, and the toy company Playmates has released reprints of the characters and sets. SPIDER RIDERS is available from most major book and toy retailers. Check your local video store for it.
Splitting into two factions is a bad thing, but here the good Drow Spider Riders are doing it by choice, as the bad ones are doing it by circumstance. Drow Spider Riders are split 50-50 between Good and Evil, as both Lolth and Arachne are careful to whom they grant bonds, and thus, despite the larger number of evil Drow, there tends to be even numbers of Spider Riders on each side.
